My wonderful friend Sandy was the inspiration for my entire Happy Hour series! She commissioned the first piece as a gift for her sister and the Happy Hour series commenced.
Sandy also introduced me to Bombay Sapphire Martinis and the most beautiful bottle on the planet! A recurring subject in this series.
This blue ball-bottomed glass sat in her kitchen and I had to paint it. Borrowed the glass for the painting and returned it, then Sandy broke it! At least she has the painting to remember her glass by.
